Raising money for the Dell Children’s Medical Center
Every year we have witnessed a growing trend with the Dance Marathon letter writing campaign. Although it takes some getting used to, it is proven to be by far the easiest and most profitable way to raise funds. This year we are bringing you many options for letter writing in order to make it even more convenient to fit into your busy schedules.
When registering online, you will be prompted to enter in the postal addresses of any family and friends you would like to contact. If you’d like to take care of this after registration, you may log in to your profile at www.utdm.org and enter in this information at any time in the “letter writing” section. Once we have this information you are finished! We will send the letters – no extra work on your part! If you would like to take care of this process yourself, you can also find the letter template on our website in a downloadable document. Please feel free to use this as much as possible. Please contact me if you need this document to be emailed to you, or if you need letter writing materials (letters, envelopes, stamps). See! It’s THAT easy!
When receiving a donation from a family member or friend, please send this person a thank-you note or email to acknowledge his or her support.
Dance Marathon is a fundraiser unlike any other at the University of Texas. Benefiting Children's Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas, Dance Marathon fills Gregory Gym with twelve straight hours of music, live entertainment, food, games, and of course dancing. The success of Dance Marathon lies in its participants, the dancers. Being a dancer is open to all UT students, and involves attaining donations for volunteering to stay standing throughout the duration of the event. Dancing the whole time is not required, but is highly encouraged!
